This Week I Learned
-
With VS Code snippets, you can have placeholders that offer you choices: https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/editor/userdefinedsnippets#_choice
In fact, I highly recommend spending a little bit of time reading over that whole page to make your life a little less tedious.

In a similar vein: you can "abuse" the Chrome search engine functionality (go to
chrome://settings/searchEngines
within Chrome) to add quick, typable shortcuts. For example: typinggh
followed byenter
could open github.com if you wanted. Normally you add%s
where your search term would go, but it‘s optional. -
I‘ve been using this for about a week and it‘s pretty fantastic: https://github.com/sindresorhus/refined-github

Sting co-wrote and sings in Money for Nothing... and by co-wrote, I mean he contributed the "I want my MTV" line.
