Announcing my latest jQuery plugin that allows you to type '/' to go to a page's search field.
Just a quick one on how to get a variable that you can use in your conditionals for when certain functionality is not ideal for on mobile.
If you've ever had an element that contains text that you wanted to just be an image (like, say, a logo) and you've knocked out the text with text-indent, set the background image, height, width, etc., then you'll want to check this out...
If like me you've ever found yourself pulling your hair out because you just can't seem to figure out the height of a hidden element, then you're going to find this very useful...
One of my pet peeves is how facebook allows you to specify a url and description when using the like button, but not a link to the image you would like to be displayed when the link is displayed on the user's profile.
